Stanmore Resources is an Australian company with operations and exploration projects in the Bowen and Surat Basins. Our corporate office is located in Brisbane, on Mianjin country while our mining leases sit within Barada Barna country.
Our foundation asset is the Isaac Plains Complex which comprises mining leases for:
- Isaac Plains and Isaac Plains East open-cut coal mines which have a current product coal output of approximately 2.4Mtpa, providing an economic mine life of up to six years.
- Isaac Plains Underground development project - a Bankable Feasibility Study has been completed for a potential underground extension in the eastern portion of the Isaac Plains Mining Lease. The project development phase has been deferred until additional port capacity can be sourced at competitive prices.
- Operating Infrastructure including dragline, coal handling and preparation plant, site infrastructure and train load out facility.
On 27 July 2021 we announced that mining leases were granted for the Isaac Downs project by the Minister for Resources Queensland, Mr Scott Stewart. The Isaac Downs project is a new open-cut metallurgical coal mine that is expected to produce approximately 35 million tonnes over 16 years. This mine will be linked to the existing Isaac Plains coal preparation and train loading infrastructure.
In addition to our operations and development projects, we have a portfolio of more than 2,000km2 of highly prospective, granted exploration tenements located in Bowen and Surat Basins.
