Stanmore Resources is looking to invite all passionate Environmental Science/Environmental Management university students to apply for the opportunity to undertake a paid, 6-8 week vacation program at our Isaac Plains Mine this summer, located near Moranbah.
Vacation Student (Environmental Officer)
In this role, the successful applicant will provide quality environmental support to the Isaac Plains Mine operations, reporting to the Senior HSEC Advisor. They will have the opportunity to facilitate parts of the rehabilitation program, and lead and develop environmental monitoring and other trials/research projects aimed at improving the site’s understanding and knowledge of environmental data and matters. Students who are aiming for a career related to the environment and studying applied science, data analysis and/or statistics are also encouraged to apply.
Commencing in December, the vacation student will work as an integral part of the small, site-based Isaac Plains Mine operations team, gaining exposure to all facets of the industry under the guidance of our expert leaders on the ground.
Isaac Regional Council residents are encouraged to apply, with travel allowance and single-person accommodation available, if required.
The program comprises eight (8) hour shifts between the hours of 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday, with flexible arrangements available if necessary, paid at a generous hourly rate.
